The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the daffodils are peeking out to welcome spring. As you step outside to enjoy the sunshine, I am sharing a few tips for sprucing up your outdoor lounging area. And the best part? It is so easy to find everything you need at HomeGoods!
1. Fresh pillows
I have a small crush on pillows. Changing them is one of the easiest ways to update a look. I found these gorgeous pillows tucked in with so many beauties at HomeGoods, and they were perfect for our outdoor patio area.

Chicness is all in the details! I love the tassel and the knotted embroidery.

2. A throw (or two)
Throws are one of my absolute favorite ways to add charm and interest. They just make you want to snuggle up for a bit with a cup of tea and a good book. And the best part? They aren’t just for indoors. Add a throw outdoors to help cozy up that space. For this styling, I chose two different ones because I couldn’t decide. I always keep an extra one on hand in case a guest gets a little chilled.

This blush faux fur is amazing. The second I saw it, it was in my cart. I was originally thinking of using it indoors, but it adds such a casual, romantic element to the patio.
3. A place for everything
Just because you are outdoors, doesn’t mean you can’t bring the ‘good’ dishes outside. We have a chunky, old, wood crate as a coffee table for this patio, and paired it with this oversized wicker serving basket.

4. Serving in style
Inside of the wicker serving basket, I added a stack of plates for treats as well as wine glasses in the most delicious shade of blush.

The napkins are 100% linen, and bring a feel of decadence to the outdoors.

For a homemade touch, the blueberry muffins and scones are served in little paper wrappers from the baking section.

5. Think outside the box
I am a huge sucker for glasses of all shapes and sizes, especially when they are interesting. These tumblers caught my eye for two reasons. First, they are embossed and recycled glass, which brings an entirely new level of charm to the table.

Second, they are a gorgeous shade of purple. Just look how pretty they are lined up on the table!

But I also love them because I didn’t just see them as glasses. They became vases for clippings from our yard. A dainty little glass filled with blooms is perfect on the serving tray for a touch of home.

Don’t forget other components like indoor/outdoor rugs, lighting and poufs to set the ambiance. When setting up an outdoor lounge area, think about what you love in your indoor spaces. and bring that same feeling to your patio – your decor doesn’t stop at the back door. Enjoy!
